- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 small potatoes
- 3-5 carrots
- 3 celery stalks
- 1 small onion
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
Cooking Tools
- Stock Pot – this stockpot is durable and non-stick and cleanup is a breeze.
- Cutting Board
- Ladle – The lazy ladle and spoon by Rachael Ray are my favorites! They are super durable and I love that they hang off the side of my pot, dish, or pan while I’m cooking dinner. I’ve had mine for years and I use them daily.
- Vegetable Peeler – I have tried many different vegetable peelers over the years and the Rachael Ray Veg-A-Peel has been a favorite of mine. Even after years of use, mine still peels veggies with ease.
- Sharp Knife

This taste wonderful. I was wondering if you can add 1 can of cream of mushroom soup to the stew.
Thank you,
Used pork, beef leftover barbecue, called Braai meat in Swaziland and it was yum. Thank you
Wondering if I can use Monteray steak seasoning instead of uncle chris
Absolutely! Any steak seasoning or the like will work well. Enjoy!
I made the leftover steak stew following given instructions. Took a few short cuts (canned carrots and sliced potatoes) to save time. Also added sautéed mushrooms. Sprinkled steak seasoning into it. Absolutely delicious!
I love that you reserved half the onions to add along with the potato, allows you to get that rich onion flavor from the beginning but you still get some nice chunks of onion that really retain their shape and texture! Thanks for the great recipe, it made a quick and delicious lunch, I love a meal that helps me use up leftovers AND creates minimal dishes to wash :)
