Easy Stuffed Jalapenos with Sausage and Cream Cheese
Living in the South, we love our food spicy and these easy stuffed jalapenos with sausage and cream cheese are definitely not one of those health cautious family recipes, but they are SUPER DELICIOUS!! My boys are no stranger to a little spice in their life! The kids have been putting jalapenos on nachos, sandwiches, pizza, and just about anything else you can think of since they were around six years old. When we had them try our super yummy stuffed jalapenos, they couldn’t get enough.
So, let’s dig in and enjoy some yumminess wrapped in bacon!!
Easy Stuffed Jalapenos with Sausage and Cream Cheese Recipe
Ingredients
- Breakfast Sausage (any brand)
- 12-14 larger jalapenos
- One package of cream cheese
- One package of bacon (any brand)
- toothpicks
- bowl with water
How to make stuffed jalapeno peppers
- Ground up and cook breakfast sausage in a medium pan until it is fully cooked.
- While the sausage is cooking, cut the jalapenos down the center (lengthwise).
- Use a spoon to take the seeds out & place seedless pepper halves in water (helps to reduce heat)*.
- After sausage is fully cooked, place entire package of cream cheese in the pan with the sausage.
- Mix together well.
- Preheat oven and cut the bacon in half.
- Spoon a tablespoon of the sausage mixture into each jalapeno.
- Wrap each pepper with the bacon and pierce with a toothpick through top & place on cookie sheet.
- Bake in the oven at 350˚ for 30-45 minutes.

Notes
Note: *When you put the jalapenos in water during the process of making these, the spice from the jalapeno is somehow reduced making them not as spicy.

I am not recommending that you have your children try these by any means. We have our kids try everything once, and if they don’t like it, they don’t have to eat it anymore. Because our boys were already eating jalapenos, we felt they could handle these, and we were right! To this day, they get excited when they see these stuffed jalapenos in the oven!
