You won’t get everything right the first time and you know what…that’s completely okay! Everyone has their own niche in the parenting game and at the end of the day, the most rewarding thing you will hear your little one say to you is…MOM. Those 3 little letters will be something you long for every.single.day!

One of the biggest hangups most new parents face is the financial expense of having a baby. Between doctor appointments, labor, delivery, baby clothes, toys, bathing essentials, car seats, strollers, etc…it all adds up and these expenses can get overwhelming really fast! But the great thing is…there are ways to save money and trim the “baby budget” easily!

Here’s the money saving tip I shared for New Moms

“Don’t purchase everything new! It is completely okay and no-one will look down on your for it! Hand me downs and thrift store finds are great to trim the “baby budget”. Items like onesies, mittens, burp rags, sleepers, baby carrier wraps, bath towels, and even strollers are completely okay to use after a good washing in hot water or antibacterial cleaners.

Purchases like car seats may still need to be purchased new because they actually have an expiration date on them. It sounds crazy, but it is true. If you receive a car seat as a hand me down, you can check the expiration date on the bottom of the car seat itself (most expire 6 years from the date of manufacture) or take it to your local fire station or hospital and have them make sure it meets current “codes” for protection of your bundle of joy.”
