5 Minute Homemade Croutons – Perfect for Salads or a Snack
Croutons are so simple. They can have a lot of flavor and add so much to any salad. I like to think of them as my crowning jewel on top of the crisp greens. While you may be used to buying croutons, you might also know they can be homemade.
Maybe you have been intimidated by the thought-worried you won’t be able to pull them off like your favorite brand. Did you know that croutons are so simple they really require no special equipment or skill and you can make them taste any way you want?
What I really love about making homemade croutons is how it is really frugal if you think about it. You are using bread that might otherwise go to waste to create something so basic (not to mention amazing if I do say so myself) that you would go out and spend money on.
These croutons take just a tiny bit of time and can be stored for several weeks in an airtight container for many salads to come.
