Get your list ready
Go through each of your rooms and make a list of what you need to do in each room. Don’t just list: vacuum, dust, make the beds. You need to also have things like: wipe off baseboards. Dust the corners of the ceiling. Clean out the closets. This will ensure you don’t miss a thing.

Zone and schedule
You then need to break down the rooms into zones. Zone A will be your kitchen and dining area. Zone B can be your Master bath, closet, and bedroom. Go through your whole list and zone your rooms in this manner. After you have done so, schedule out a time in which you will clean them. For example, Zone A will be done at 9 a.m. and you will complete it by 11 a.m. This helps you to plan out how long each room or zone will take so that you don’t waste time. If you know that you will need a day to complete each zone, then plan it out that way.
Zoning and scheduling is to help you have a goal to reach for so you can get your home back in tip top shape!
Lay out organization
Before you start a room, decide how you will organize it. If you get started o it before you do this, you may get tired and just shove everything back in without rhyme or reason. You do not have to choose expensive items to organize. In fact, things like shoe boxes, old tin cans, and unused baskets can make organization cheap and easy. Make sure that they system and items you choose will work and are easy to use and follow so tat you will use them properly.

Do the work
There’s nothing left but to get to it! Turn on the lights in every single room, open the windows to let in fresh air, and start with Zone A when it is time. Set a timer and get through it by the time you have allotted on your list. As you finish the rooms, you can shut the windows and turn off the lights, but don’t do this until the room is completely cleaned and organized. This will keep you on track as you go through your home and ensures you don’t miss anything.
