Simple Whiskey Chicken Recipe – A Dinner Idea Your Family Will Love
When you want Bourbon Chicken, but don’t have any bourbon…what do you do? Make Whiskey Chicken instead!
After a long day rushing around like a chicken with my head cut off, I wanted bourbon chicken for dinner. There was just one little problem…we didn’t have any bourbon in the house.
Seriously?
I thought to myself as I searched my husband’s bar stash…no bourbon! UGH… After a few minutes, I came up with a solution…Whiskey Chicken!
I mean, it couldn’t be hard to adjust ingredients in our bourbon chicken sauce recipe to substitute whiskey in it instead.
With only a few minutes to spare, I threw on the oven to get it preheated, dropped the chicken tenders into an oven safe dish and whipped up the “whiskey” sauce and threw it over the chicken.
As it was cooking in the oven, I was sure the chicken or sauce would be overpowered by the smell of the whiskey flavoring that was billowing through my house but to my surprise…it wasn’t overpowering at all!
It tasted super delicious and my family kept asking for more!
Check it out…it’s a super simple recipe that you can whip in a jiffy for dinner tonight!
